Re-Earthing Futures Family Festival
Harwood Museum of Art and Taos Land Trust are teaming up with several collaborators to celebrate Northern New Mexican land traditions including adobe construction, seed saving, textile production and animal husbandry at Rio Fernando Park. This FREE all ages event will be the culmination of a series of adobe festivals happening across Taos elementary schools.

Cultural Stewardship of Land and Water Across the Rio Fernando de Taos Watershed
Join the Rio Fernando de Taos Revitalization Collaborative on September 19 for Cultural Stewardship of Land and Water Across the Rio Fernando de Taos Watershed. Meet at Taos Christian Academy at 8:45AM to get directions to the Rio Fernando (Upper) Watershed. This event was awarded funding through the Cultural Events Fund, a collaboration between Taos MainStreet, the Town of Taos, and Taos County.
Fiesta de Taos
A centuries old fiesta celebrating the gathering of generations to enjoy delicious cuisine, traditional music, and fellowship, while honoring the cultural uniqueness of Taos.
First Fridays
Taos First Friday is a monthly event happening across the Historic District.
On the first Friday of each month, galleries, shops, and local businesses stay open late, inviting you to walk and wander through the district’s neighborhoods. Along the way, you’ll find exhibition openings, artist demos, food, music, and conversation.
Locals and visitors alike are welcome to explore, linger, and connect with the Taos community.

5/16 & 5/17 Escuelita de Adobe
An immersive adobe weekend led by multigenerational adoberos, enjarradoras, and horno bakers from Spanish, Taos Pueblo, and Diné traditions.
Every Monday • Meet Me at McCarthy’s
Meet Me at McCarthy's is a free, inclusive weekly event — open to everyone, at any pace. Walk, jog, run or just hang out. There is a 1, 2, or 3 mile loop through the plaza district. Join your neighbors and friends as we gather at the heart of Taos to treat our own hearts to fun, free, area-wide, all-ages fitness program.
Over 1,000 people showed up last season. Season 2 starts May 11th, and we can’t wait to get started again and see you all out there!
5/6 Cultural Events Fund Workshop
Taos MainStreet is excited to launch the second Cultural Events Fund Workshop as part of our ongoing Destination Stewardship efforts in Taos! This program provides financial and technical support for cultural events that invite both locals and visitors to engage in the rich cultural traditions of Northern New Mexico. The Fund welcomes applications from legacy events ready to be revived or strengthened as well as new ideas for cultural events that celebrate our communities.
5/3 Taos County Historical Society 2026 Honoree Luncheon
Taos County Historical Society invites you to the luncheon at Sagebrush Inn Convention Center on May 3rd at noon to honor Larry Torres.
Texas BBQ Dinner Buffet - $40 members / $45 non-members / $20 students. Reservations required. Deadline to reserve your seat is due April 24th, 2026. Special invitation to students age 16-25 - half price lunch and a free one year TCHS Membership!
