Downtown Taos Moves Together
Meet Me at McCarthy's is a free, inclusive weekly event, open to everyone, at any pace. Walk, jog, run or just hang out. There is a 1, 2, or 3 mile loop through the plaza district. Join your neighbors and friends as we gather at the heart of Taos to treat our own hearts to fun, free, area-wide, all-ages fitness program.

NEW ROUTES!
We're excited to introduce new walking routes beginning Monday 6/29 and continuing throughout the season. These updated paths offer fresh scenery, new perspectives, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the beauty of Taos. Be sure to bring your camera, these routes are full of photogenic moments you'll want to capture and share along the way.

MMM is designed to be simple and welcoming. Here are the most common questions from new participants.

Meet Me at McCarthy’s (MMM) is a free weekly walk, jog, or run event held every Monday evening from 5–7 PM in downtown Taos. It’s designed to bring people of all ages together for outdoor movement, community connection, and wellness in an inclusive, non-competitive setting.

The program runs every Monday starting Monday, May 11th, at McCarthy Plaza, just steps from the historic Taos Plaza. Participants can arrive between 5 and 5:30 PM to check in.

Yes! The event is completely free and open to all ages. Leashed dogs are welcome too.

Attend 7 events: receive a one-of-a-kind Meet Me at McCarthy’s t-shirt
Attend 14 events: earn a unique MMM hat
Attend all 20 events: receive a special pin and public recognition
Attendance rolls over year-to-year, so your efforts are never lost.

Not at all. You can choose your pace and distance — 1, 2, or 3-mile routes are available. Whether you walk, jog, or run, the goal is movement and community, not speed or competition.
You decide your route. Cut off and enjoy the town if you’d like!

Check-in begins at 5 PM at McCarthy Plaza. Volunteers will help you sign in electronically. You'll receive a stamp, a raffle ticket, and a red blinking safety light to wear during your walk/run. Return the light at the end of the event.

MMM encourages wellness, builds community connections, supports local businesses, and fosters partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and local leaders. It’s about showing up, together.
